This guide will walk you through changing the settings on your Amazon Fire TV device to allow for the installation of apps from unknown sources (also known as \u201cjailbreaking\u201d), downloading and installing Downloader, and downloading and installing EasyStreet apps.<\/span><\/p>\n

Note – <\/b>The password for your TV account is a generated password that was emailed to you when you signed up.\u00a0 You can also find your TV account username and password by logging into your billing account, viewing your EasyStreet TV account and selecting <\/span>TV Account Information.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Applicable Devices: All Amazon Fire TV Devices (Fire TV Stick, Fire TV, Fire TV Cube and Fire TV Edition Televisions)<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

ALLOWING THE INSTALLATION OF APPS FROM UNKNOWN SOURCES (\u201cJAILBREAKING\u201d)<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. From the Amazon home screen open <\/span>Settings<\/b> from the top menu bar<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Select <\/span>My Fire TV<\/b><\/li>\n
  3. Select <\/span>Developer Options<\/b><\/li>\n
  4. Select <\/span>ADB Debugging<\/b> and make sure it is set to <\/span>On<\/b><\/li>\n
  5. Select <\/span>Apps from Unknown Sources\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n
  6. Select <\/span>Turn On<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING DOWNLOADER<\/b><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. From the Amazon home screen select the magnifying glass icon<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Use the on-screen keyboard to search for \u201c<\/span>Downloader<\/b>\u201d and select it from the search results below<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Select the Downloader icon<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Select <\/span>Download You own it<\/b><\/li>\n
    5. Wait for Downloader to finish installing and select <\/span>Open<\/b><\/li>\n
    6. Select <\/span>Allow<\/b> on any permissions messages that may be displayed<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING EASYSTREET APPS<\/b><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. From the Downloader home screen select the text box under <\/span>Enter a URL or Search Term:<\/b><\/li>\n
      2. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter <\/span>easystreetapps.com<\/b> and press <\/span>Go<\/b><\/li>\n
      3. Use the directional buttons on your remote control to move the cursor to the EasyStreet TV app you want to install<\/span><\/li>\n
      4. Wait for the app to download and select <\/span>INSTALL<\/b> on the second window<\/span><\/li>\n
      5. Select <\/span>DONE<\/b><\/li>\n
      6. Select <\/span>Delete <\/b>to remove the installation file since you no longer need it<\/span><\/li>\n
      7. Select <\/span>Delete <\/b>to confirm<\/span><\/li>\n
      8. Repeat steps 3 through 7 to install any additional EasyStreet apps<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Note –<\/b> To close Downloader use the directional buttons on your remote control to move the cursor to the left side of the browser window and select Home from the menu on the left.\u00a0 Once on the Home screen press the back button on your remote control to close Downloader.<\/span><\/p>\n

        When you are done installing all of the desired apps press the home button on your remote control to return to the Amazon home screen. To launch your newly installed app go to the <\/span>Your Apps & Channels<\/b> row and locate it at the end of the row or select <\/span>See All<\/b>. New apps are at the bottom of the list. Be sure to leave the Downloader app installed so you can easily install future apps or updates.<\/span><\/p>\n
