Amazon Fire TV Devices – How To Download And Install EasyStreet TV Apps Using Filelinked

This guide will walk you through changing the settings on your Amazon Fire TV device to allow for the installation of apps from unknown sources (also known as “jailbreaking”), downloading and installing Downloader, downloading and installing Filelinked and how to access the EasyStreet Solutions Filelinked App Store and install EasyStreet apps.

Applicable Devices: All Amazon Fire TV Devices (Fire TV Stick, Fire TV, Fire TV Cube and Fire TV Edition Televisions)

Note – We recommend following our guide for How To Download And Install EasyStreet TV Apps Using Downloader.  Using Downloader is a simpler process.  We are leaving these instructions as well for users who prefer to use Filelinked.  If you already have Filelinked installed on your device you can skip down to the LOADING THE EASYSTREET FILELINKED APP STORE AND DOWNLOADING APPS section of this guide.

The password for your TV account is a generated password that was emailed to you when you signed up.  You can also find your TV account username and password by logging into your billing account, viewing your EasyStreet TV account and selecting TV Account Information.

ALLOWING THE INSTALLATION OF APPS FROM UNKNOWN SOURCES (“JAILBREAKING”)

  1. From the Amazon home screen open Settings from the top menu bar
  2. Select My Fire TV
  3. Select Developer Options
  4. Select ADB Debugging and make sure it is set to On
  5. Select Apps from Unknown Sources 
  6. Select Turn On

DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING DOWNLOADER

  1. From the Amazon home screen select the magnifying glass icon
  2. Use the on-screen keyboard to search for “Downloader” and select it from the search results below
  3. Select the Downloader icon
  4. Select Download You own it
  5. Wait for Downloader to finish installing and select Open
  6. Select Allow on any permissions messages that may be displayed

DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING FILELINKED

  1. From the Downloader home screen select the text box under Enter a URL or Search Term:
  2. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter get.filelinked.com and press Go
  3. Select INSTALL
  4. Select OPEN to launch Filelinked

LOADING THE EASYSTREET FILELINKED APP STORE AND DOWNLOADING APPS

  1. From the Filelinked home screen use the on-screen keypad to enter 19254639 and select Next
  2. Select Continue
  3. Once inside the EasyStreet App Store close any pop-up ads that may open by selecting Dismiss
  4. Find the app that you are looking to download from the list and select the down arrow to the right of the description
  5. Wait for the app to download and press the play button after it replaces the down arrow
  6. Select INSTALL

When you are done installing all of the desired apps press the home button on your remote control to return to the Amazon home screen. To launch your newly installed app go to the Your Apps & Channels row and locate it at the end of the row or select See All. New apps are at the bottom of the list. Be sure to leave the Filelinked app installed so you can easily install future apps or updates.
